Ensuring equal opportunities and support for all students
The SC/ST & OBC cell was reformed in the year 2018. The aim of the cell is to assist students who belong to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Communities (OBC) by supporting academic performance and facilitating access to financial benefits from the government.
The cell is focused on monitoring the strict implementation of reservation policy as per UGC guidelines and ensuring equal opportunities for all students. We work to create an inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically and personally.
Key focus areas of our SC/ST & OBC Cell
To observe the reservation policy for SCs/STs and OBCs in the institution and ensure its proper implementation as per UGC guidelines.
To regularly meet with students and faculty belonging to SC/ST & OBC communities, understand their challenges, and assist in resolving them effectively.
To create awareness among SC/ST & OBC students regarding various Government and Non-Government scholarship schemes available to them.
To disseminate information and counsel SC/ST & OBC students on how to utilize the benefits of schemes offered by the Government and UGC.
The SC/ST & OBC Cell is committed to creating a supportive environment where every student feels valued and empowered. We believe that diversity enriches our academic community and are dedicated to ensuring that all students have equal access to educational opportunities.
We work closely with college administration to address any concerns related to discrimination or inequality and strive to foster an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding among all members of our college community.
